Men's Monthly Breakfast

The Clairemont Christian Fellowship Men's Group meet the first Saturday of each month for breakfast from 7:30 to 9:00. Bob Howard always prepares a hearty manly breakfast. Typically there are some reports on the ongoing men's projects; including Bikes for Kids, Mexico house building projects, and the men's small group meetings. There is always a Christian program with either a live speaker or an interesting video. There is no membership and all men are invited to attend.  On October 4th, to honor Constitution Day (which was actually September
17th), the Men's Breakfast will feature a program from the video series "We
the People."  In part two, "Establish Justice," we learn how men and women
of faith furthered the cause of justice in our nation.



Bikes for Kids


Dave Dixon heads up the Bikes for Kids program. He receives bikes in need of repair and rehabs many of them by taking parts from some to make a few good ones. He also receives cash donations in order to by parts and some new bicycles. On occassion he brings some bike carcasses to the monthly meeting and some of the men assist in dismantling them to salvage some parts. Those helpers earn the "Golden Wrench Award." In 2007 Dave has delivered 150 bikes, most of them going to needy kids in Tijuana and some to needy kids in San Diego . Dave is always looking for more bikes, but is also looking for bike mechanics and men who are good with steel wool for polishing dull and rusty parts. Contact Dave Dixon at 858-922-7657



Small Group Meetings



A number of the Clairemont Christian Fellowship men meet in small "accountability" prayer groups. The small groups allow them to be more open with private prayer needs and give them the opportunity to be accountable to each other regarding their spiritual growth. Annual men's getway

Each spring the Clairemont Christian Fellowship men have a brief one night "Getaway" for a time of spiritual enrichment and to renew the challenge that accompanies the call to God’s kingdom. It is usually held in the mountains near Julian. There are typically four teaching sessions along with periods of free time for hiking, basketball, biking or reading. We traditionally have a Texas Hold ‘em tournament, with the winner getting a gift certificate.
